Why Your Skin Needs Peptides?

The anti-wrinkle protein known as collagen is made from peptides that are chains of amino acids. These amino acids are building blocks of protein for the skin. Collagen breaks down in our skin from stress, sun, age and environmental factors and creates wrinkles.  So in turn, we always want to be adding collagen to our skin. Applying peptides topically to the skin through good skin care products can send a signal to trick the skin into thinking that it has lost collagen recently and needs to produce more. With the additional collagen production you will have the appearance of more youthful, supple skin.

Since peptides break down easily, it is important they are only used in products with ingredients that do not cause them to break down. While peptides are small enough to penetrate the skin, combining them with the wrong ingredients may hinder their ability to penetrate and work properly. This is why it is always important to use skin care products, which combine the proper ingredients to make sure the peptides are effective.

Peptides take time to work.  They are best applied in creams and serums for a long period of time.  You can see results in as little as 4 weeks.  Like with everything else, when you stop using peptides you will notice the difference with your skin so stick with it and you will see the improvement.
